Here cotton is only in the cover material. The Vita-line Futon mattress "Model 18" has the structure of 7 layers that combine coconut, latex and hemp. The mattress is stabilized fro the centre by a 3 cm high latexed coconut core that ensures elasticity and dimensional stability. This core is covered with two hemp layers, then with latex, then again with two hemp layers on both sides. Due to the hemp structure, this futon has certain bulkiness and initially, relatively soft surface. It becomes more firm over time. The both latex layer provide special elasticity.

Sleep comfort:

The Vita-line Futon "Model 18" offers pleasant comfort, especially for sleepers who do not want to lay on too firm base. Hemp is a natural fiber that has antimicrobial effect and blocks the growth of bacteria and fungi. Moreover, the hemp ensures adequate temperature compensation, keeps warm in winter and ensures nice cooling effect in summer. Next to its elasticity, hemp is also highly breathable. Initially, the futon mattress "Model 18" is 15 - 18 cm high. During the lying phase the hemp layers can lose up to 35 % (load-dependency) as compared to the initial height, they become firmer and therefore, are more compact. This futon is so elastic due to the combination of latex. Moreover, this hygienic, dust-free material provides no breeding ground for bacteria and is very heath-insulating and breathable, as well. Moreover, the coconut core provides an optimal air circulation inside the futon. The cover of the futon is 100 % cotton.
